The Deputy Head of Mission of the Israeli Embassy in Nigeria, Mr George Deek, has reiterated Israel’s willingness to partner with Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.
He told the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja that to mitigate the effects of terrorism, the authorities and the public needed to be prepared to respond and recover from the possible consequence of terrorists’ attack.
“Today, terrorism is one of Nigeria’s biggest and most immediate challenges. It is not a secret that Israeli expertise can significantly assist Nigeria in countering terrorism,’’ Deek said. “We have already pledged our readiness to assist Nigeria and I hereby reiterate the willingness on behalf of my government the state of Israel, to help Nigeria counter terrorism.
“Countering terrorism has two main elements; one is to prevent terrorists attack from happening and the other is to mitigate the effects of terrorist attacks once they have all already occurred.’’
He further stated that the psychological impact of terrorist attacks often outweighed the impact of material damage and bodily harm caused by the attack.
He added, “If instead of panic and fear, you have a sense of order and engagement of all authorities, as well as the public, then the terrorists lose.”
Meanwhile, the Kano State Government has directed all hospitals in the state to treat all victims of Friday’s Boko Haram attacks free.
A statement signed by the Communications and Public Relations Strategist, Halilu Dantiye Director said the hospitals had also been directed to give maximum medical attention to the victims.
While commiserating with the people of the state over the incident, Director also condoled with the families of those who lost their lives.
He gave the assurance that security agencies would continue to do their best to safeguard the lives and property of the residents of the state reported the News Agency of Nigeria.
The statement also said the state governor had since visited the affected places and hospitals where the victims were receiving treatment.
That is very excellent.Isrealis should come because they know how to deal with terrorists.
Seek assistance from the expert if you are not too sure.
Goodluck is Not-Sure how to go about fighting BOKA RARARAM
The problem with nigeria is not terrorism, the problem is that dif. types of ppl are being forced to live together against their will because of selfish reasons. I think the world should help by treating the problem and not the effects. If you stop them today they will still kill Igbos tomorrow because of the same problems again.
No Isreali ethnic cleansing lessons needed here, after what has been done to the Palestinians, especially as back then the % of Palestinians who were Christians was much bigger than it is now.
I believe the problem is more of a political issue than just establishing a sharia law. However, just separate Nigeria into the North and South so that everybody goes to his/her own separate ways. Then they can establish their sharia law as it pleases them.
Please HE sort your news pages out because they cluster and overlap each other. Had to read.
No, No, and No!!!!! Please don’t furtherly inflame a conflict you can not put out. Thanks, but no thanks to Isreal, you have more than enough conflicts in the Middle East already; please don’t come to Nigeria and establish another SAVAK type clandestine operations. Please be advised that the situation right now in Nigeria was an old soup that warmed up to the surface; BOKO HARAM was in operation from the first day the British set foot in Northern Nigeria. The Northern Mullahs and Emirs warned the British not to pollute their socio_religio_cultures (ISLAM) which ran their everyday “WAYS and MEANS”. They also expressed displeasures with 1914 Amalgamation; but Lord Luggard evoked a unilateral defiance; now the chicken coming home to roost. Isreal, please stay out of this conflict, pure, plain, and simple.
Mr. Non-Nigeria,
DO YOU PUT MARIJUANA IN YOU TEA?
